Dual Waterbed Mattresses |

Hardside Full Motion Waterbeds

We offer the free flow water bed mattress, also known as the
full motion water bed mattress, as well as
semi-waveless,
waveless,
and
ultra waveless waterbed mattresses
in DUAL set ups. Dual beds are great for couples who like "their
side of the bed their way". Advantages include:
The lighter weight person will no longer be sleeping on displaced water
created by the heavier person sinking lower into the mattress causing
the water to go under the lighter person. The lighter person no
longer feels all the movement of the heavier person. Each person can
have their 1/2 dual to be the percent of wave reduction that is
comfortable for them. Each person can have their own heater (if a
thermal divider is used to separate the duals) allowing them to sleep at
a temperature that is comfortable for them. Disadvantages
include: There is a slight dip in the center of the bed where the two
mattresses meet. The duals may appear to have a slighter different
height depending on the amount of water added to each dual. Dual
mattresses cost more.
Wave reduction is created by fiber layers
instead of the old baffle system to restrict the water's motion in our
wave reduced water bed mattresses. You can add additional back support,
known as lumbar fiber, to the wave reduced water mattresses. Lumbar
fiber is additional fiber layers, placed inside the water mattress, which
goes from side-to-side and starts approximately 18" from the head of
the bed and goes just past the middle of the bed. This is the area where
most people's shoulders down to their hip area rests on the mattress. Be sure
to measure your bed before ordering to insure that you order the correct
size. We offer the California King (84" x 72") and Queen
(84" x 60") in DUALS.
The comfort level of a water mattress
is a matter of personal preference, some like a soft bed with movement
while others like a firm bed with little to no movement. You will be
sure to find the correct water mattress to fit your sleep style. For
couples where there is a difference of opinion of what constitutes a
comfortable sleep surface we offer the DUAL water mattress.
